Lacquer coating technique have been an essential part oh Japanese culture, being used in many items such as tablewares, trays, stationaries, boxes, furnitures, and so on. By going through 30-40 stages of manufacturing process including numerous layers of coating, lacquer coating not only makes the item durable but turns it into an art form.

The intricately-carved latitudinal ribs contain the water within the dripper for the perfect amount of time, extracting all of the nuanced flavors and aromas from the coffee within.
